Shock Absorber Lanyards

Tear webbing lanyards date back to the early 80s and have offered the user consistent impact force reduction in the event of a fall. The principle of the design is based around two parts of webbing that deploy and tear apart to absorb energy. The longer the tear, the greater the force reduction. On a fall factor two we would expect impact forces to be around 4.5kN based on a 100kg mass. See our force charts for comparisons to our Pro Absorber Lanyards.
