2017 LEEA Golf Day – Martin Corry

We’re delighted to announce Martin Corry will be taking up the after-dinner speaking duties at our 2017 LEEA Golf Day.

Martin, who went to school in Royal Tunbridge Wells, played lock, flanker and number 8 for English rugby stalwarts Leicester Tigers from 1997, as part of a formidable forward pack that included Martin Johnson and Neil Back.

He became club captain after Johnson’s retirement and won three premiership finals during the next four years before he retired himself.

Martin made his England debut in 1997, and went on to win 64 caps. He was part of the world-cup winning squad of 2003 and captained his country in 2005 and 2006.

He was also involved in two British & Irish Lions tours, 2001 and 2005. In 2001 Martin was called up late due to injuries but ended up playing in all three tests against Australia. In 2005 he captained the Lions.

He’s bound to be an entertaining addition to what’s already looking like a great day. If you haven’t already secured your place, now’s the time to book before it sells out.
