A Goodman for the job
Lee Goodman Promoted To Custom Solutions Divisional Manager
Lee Goodman joined Checkmate a little over two years ago, having spent the previous 12 years helping to run a successful height safety and engineering company. His role involved dealing with tenders all the way from conceptual design to completion, drawing on a wide range of skills from consultancy, to designing with architects, surveying, tendering, 3D-modelling, AutoCAD and more.
In addition to this experience he has more than 15 years ‘on the clock’ as an engineer fabricator welder and this range of skills enables him to engineer bespoke solutions to demanding access and height safety problems.
“After just over two years with the Checkmate Group I can say I’m extremely impressed with their professionalism and the room for growth they offer employees. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to manage the custom solutions division and very much looking forward to the challenge ahead!” said Lee.
“Lee’s been a fantastic member of the Checkmate team” said Managing Director Oliver Auston. “His wealth of experience and flexible approach has proved invaluable on several very challenging projects and he fits very well with our culture”.
Lee is also part of Checkmate’s H-A-R-T training division, making the most of his decade of experience as a trainer in the world of height safety from basic through to managerial level. He also has rescue training expertise including high-level cable car rescue, and is a trainer for the Global Wind Energy organisation.
Lee has one philosophy in life, and that is to “strive to achieve to be the best I can possibly be in all that I do”.
