Checkmate at A+A, Dusseldorf

Checkmate at A+A, Dusseldorf

2011 was Checkmate’s fifth consecutive A+A show, held in Dusseldorf, Germany. A few of the guys from Checkmate were in attendance, along with Andy from HART to showcase our latest range of height safety and rescue gear. The show ran from October 18-21 and was a huge success.

A+A is the worlds largest and most important specialist trade fair for all aspects of safety and security. The event started in the early hours with a road trip in our converted firetruck from our head office in Kent to the show centre. This was the first outing for the truck, which we recently converted into a fully interactive demonstration vehicle, complete with drop down tower, dynamic load cells and video cameras that record every aspect of your session. We’ll reveal more details of the firetruck shortly.

We also showed off our new range of fall arrest blocks – the X2R and X4 – which built on the massive success of the Queen’s Award-winning Xcalibre fall arrest block. Checkline II was also a big hit with existing clients and newcomers alike.

Having participated at all previous A+A shows, this year’s was by far the most successful. The range of products available, along with our large stand, resulted in a lot of interest from visitors. As always, Checkmate was pushing the boundaries and striving to innovate ahead of the competition.

Next up on the Checkmate world tour is NSC show in Philadelphia. The event takes place between October 31 and November 2. If you’re in town, come check us out.
