Falling from height is still the most common cause of fatality in the workplace

According to the Health and Safety Executive, In 2008/2009 over 4650 major injuries were caused by falls from height at work with a further 7,065 minor injuries resulting in three days or more off work. In addition to that there were 35 fatalities for the year.

Not for one moment did any of these ‘statistics’ think they would fall victim to a height safety issue that day. Don’t become a statistic. Remember. ‘Don’t let a fall shatter your life’

You may think that you are doing everything you can to prevent falls from height at work but everyone could do more. The Health and Safety Executive site offers advice and information for both workers and employers to help you stay safe.
